BIOgraphy
Paris Ray is a dynamic singer songwriter based on Long Island, but her journey in the arts began with the silver screen, where she started as a child actress with a resume including Nickelodeon’s iCarly, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and popular soap operas like Guiding Light and All My Children. Her theatrical chops even led her to Broadway, where she shared the stage with Kevin Kline in the prestigious Public Theater’s run of King Lear.
Paris transitioned from the spotlight of acting to the more intimate, vulnerable world of music. She taught herself guitar at 15, put her poems to music, and fell in love with songwriting. Dozens of open mics and notebooks full of songs later, she found herself at SUNY Purchase, where she was accepted into their acclaimed music conservatory working towards her BFA in Studio Composition.
Over time, her passion turned into an incredibly successful career. Paris Ray is now a premiere talent on Long Island, where she performs six nights a week at the most esteemed venues the island has to offer- including the Great South Bay Music Festival, Wolffer Estate, The Paramount, and the Montauk Music Festival. Paris is a four time recipient of both Bethpage’s Best of Long Island and Dan’s Papers’ Best of The Best. She has opened for iconic artists like Jon Herington of Steely Dan and Katrina Leskanich of Katrina and the Waves, and even had a song placed in a national Dawn dish soap commercial.
In 2023, Paris released her sophomore studio album, Clementine, which has garnered over 100,000 streams; a testament to her ability to connect with audiences through her personal lyrics and story telling. She has built a community of fans and peers alike, and is known for her tremendous work ethic and gratitude for the life she has carved out for herself. Paris recently founded her band, Paris Ray & the Crush, and they are currently working on their first studio album.
